Internet Security Tips

Posted on Updated on

Hello nerds and nerdesses, welcome to The Osai Effect
via @theosaieffect
Internet security is one thing that a number of us take for granted, from our pin numbers, to our passwords, our GPS coordinates and so many others. The laxity in internet security is the motivator for the segment and we are gonna share as much as we can to keep your identity, your data and your money safe.
via @theosaieffect
Today, we are gonna be talking about ‘Check In’ and ‘Location’ on Facebook. The Check-In feature was designed for one to check in into a public place or place of interest so that they could find landmarks and friends. I believe the location button in messages was also created for similar purposes. However nice these features are, hackers are on the prowl and these features give them a diplomatic passport into our devices.

Sharing locations is good but it’s pretty unadvisable when at home as we could be tracked to a very good degree of accuracy using Google Maps! (It’s a free app on Android!) We should take care to put it off when sending messages to people who we do not know personally and we should always put our GPS off until we want to use it.

Game Of The Week

Posted on Updated on

Hello nerds and nerdesses, welcome to the Osai Effect

via @theosaieffect
This week we have a very fun and easy to play 3D endless driver. When we first got a hold of this game, we played it for hours on end! This week we have Zombie Highway as our game of the week! There’s a wide selection of tracks, guns, and a number of cars to choose from making you the Zombie Kenpachi ^_^ Although unavailable on the Play Store, we are gonna drop a direct download link to our own hosting service! (You’ll have to tweet at us though, there is probably a reason why it is not on the Play store).

App Of The Week

Posted on Updated on

Hello nerds and nerdesses, welcome to the Osai Effect

image

Have you ever had so many pictures and videos that your SD Card and Internal memory space both got full? Have you ever woken up one morning only to find out that all your photos and videos are gone. A formatted memory card or a crashed memory card. They both amount to the same thing, though. You lose your files and that sucks! Well, worry no more because we got you covered!

image

Some Android devices synchronize photos and videos to Google automatically, but in case yours does not, we have just the right thing for you: Dropbox! Although we have had Dropbox as an App of the Week sometime in November, we believe a number of people are yet to benefit from the usage of Dropbox. When using Dropbox, you could turn on the automatic sync where anything captured by your camera gets uploaded automatically. Which means, one does not have to worry about lost data! Other files like songs and documents can also be uploaded and can be downloaded from any device signed into Dropbox with your email address.

via @theosaieffect

We sincerely hope the loss of files stops because that sucks majorly. Thanks for reading, Ciao! Please follow us on Twitter @TheOsaiEffect , on Google+ via +TheOsaiEffect and 7B963F97 on BBM. Read the older post HERE

Hello nerds and nerdesses, welcome to the Osai Effect

via @theosaieffect

This week we have something surreal to share with y’all. We met this dude sometime in May this year and we only just got the opportunity to work with him personally this week. His name is Lewis Nkem, and he is a [great] photographer! He made us discover how beautiful a city Ibadan is and although we were almost arrested by the cops on Sunday (really), the time we spent shooting was really great. This week, we are gonna be sharing some of his photos to y’all  (we did the edits ourselves in-house ^_^), and if you need him, send us an email at theosaieffect@gmail.com. We give y’all Siwel Concepts: Abstracts

5 Must Have Android Games

Posted on

Hello nerds and nerdesses, welcome to the Osai Effect via @theosaieffectAs a result of a lot of requests, we have decided to add this segment to compliment the ‘5 Must Have Android Apps’ segment. Well, enough talk, let us get to it!

The Osai Effect Breaker

At number 5, we have one of our Games of the Week from a couple of weeks back. We are talking of none other than Trial Xtreme 3, the bike stunts game.

trial x

At number 4, we have our very first Game of the Week. We have none other than the endless runner/shooter: A Good day to DIE HARD.

download (2)

At number 3, we have a new game making its debut appearance. We are talking of one of the most interesting and challenging free racing games on Android. We give you Raging Thunder 2! We love the graphics and the gameplay and the fact that there a lot of modes and tracks to select from and that it is only around 30MB! Coupled with the fact that one does not need to spend money to get the cool upgrades/cars. Raging Thunder 2 at number 3!

Raging Thunder the Osai Effect

At number 2, we have another of our old Games of the Week. We are talking of none other than Hungry Shark Evolution. We really love Hungry Shark Evolution but at 84MB, it is a bit on the heavy side and that kinda sucks 😦

And finally, at number 1 we have Zombie Highway! Zombie Highway is an endless drive in a post-apocalyptic world where zombies try to flip your car around and eat your brains out. There are several cars and weapons to unlock as well as over 10 roads! The medals are cool and there are medals higher than even gold =D We love Zombie Highway and we give it a solid 8.5/10!

That’s it from us folks, if you are having issues with downloading some of these games, shoot us an email at theosaieffect@gmail.com
